You can get above an A if you do extra credit, but that is for the most part accurate.
If a D isn't a passing grade, then it is just marked as an F.
I mean what letter is considered failed ?
Like for example in Europe,and most likely the rest of the world,it ussualy works like this :
1 point is always given to the student no mater what.So your mark always starts with 1 no matter what.
Having a mark beetwen 2 to 4 is considered failed,in uni you must redo the exam while in school you must get atleast 6 in the next test,so the average marking is 5 so you can pass the grade for all the subjects.
Having a mark from 5 to 10 is considered passed.
also if you need atleast a D mark in order to pass an exam in USA that means you need to complete atleast 60% correctly of the exam ?
