      Ruff you talk dirty.
Regardless, the UK server will only go down while the US will only grow,so i don't see any solution viable right now then shhutting UK server for good and reward the players there with some non-tradable rewards if they want to keep playing and want to start on US server.
There is no other solution, well,we can do nothing about it,but that would be the worst.
Say what you feel,it's not being rude. It's being real.
    • As LadySky said before a server merge is not something easy and would take huge amount of time, by the time they accept it and say "yes we should do server merges" and actually start organizing and eventually start doing them, US server will not be a new server anymore.
It feels like people think the server merge will happen tomorrow or something. (If it even happens at all anyway)
    • ya i do think players start rushing cause more players are leaving?by the time when developer reach conclusion/finished up everything there's no more guarantee ppl will come back..to speak it harshly currently alot have try to look for other games some of my friends/ingame friends play terra online as they still trusted GF...
and yah morgoth is it possible to ask the developers to look at the steam comments?i think that way they will fell most of the players rage and they may have that motivation to improve the game instead
@Kacchan dont really show off your money man..we are trying to play peaceful here like real ppl can have 100 bil in game?how many alts u have lol...currently the richest player i know in game is tay...if you do really have that much please do screenshot as im not an easy to believe guy..and current uk stayers i admit some of them abit selfish for eg having 90+ raid still goin on and stuff but i cant blame them as well they must have reasons but most of the time they kick me i pm they reply me nicely it's either fam raid or 90+...and why would ppl keep thinking it will bring us economy up?i mean if those high lvls can make money they will left it alone without reselling...that's why i have suggested some ways in the closed threads..so that the uk rich/high lvl ppl able to purchase but unable to resold them if they bought us serv item and for new released item it will be soldable both servers but the currency will have affect...idk my idea sounds stupid thats why it was ignored or what...but belive me or not most high lvls know how to made money not by reselling...even me lvl 80s can make money but im too lazy to do so...ice flower, woa currently still in demand and go to temple(i forgot where yertirand raid is)bring your pet and partner to tank and sometimes they will dropped 5k gold for you...what more to ask?if cant ts 73 sop can be hunted at robber area they dropped sop easily..
    • First and foremost let me clarify by saying I have played both UK AND US servers however I main the UK server. I am in favor of a merge, however I believe that a merge is only fair for all players until the average level/power/game knowledge of players in US equalizes with UK. I personally think that a time frame for a merge if considered now would happen in 1-2 years primarily since US players can directly reach end game content if they know what to do (THIS IS NOT THE ONLY REASON).

The following is a list of my perspective on various concerns brought up players that are active, retired, UK based, US based, etc.

SP raids - I've hosted and been doing sp 5/6 raids since they came out and as a raider+hoster I'll say this. I love the fact that sp raids are 80+ in US and 90+ in UK, What we need to understand is that team compositions have changed due to the activeness of players, and advertising. Advertising affects the general player base of a server - UK WAS NEVER HEAVILY ADVERTISED so how can people expect lower levels to be added if there aren't any? Activeness of players - this affects hosts because hosts tend to want raiders that they can trust to raid with. Regardless of whether its UK or US, I will venture to say that hosts tend to ask questions to raiders or ask for some form of effort/commitment. UK and US hosts have asks and found solutions to this commitment issue in different ways - in UK it means carrying dmg on 1 acc with alts as buffers, in US it may possibly mean no alts - everyone uses common damage enhances.

Economy - I agree and disagree with many players as to how a merge will affect the economy. The end result most likely be prices changing however its a prediction on the future and the future isn't known which is why many people are weary and hesitant of it. As a player that didn't focus reselling in game until very later on, I will admit feeling disappointed and considered quitting due to spending so much time gathering gold/resources in these common/slower methods of gold making. I'm not sure how many players on US are reselling, but what we need to realize is greed kills a server. It kills sp raids (which is why 80s hated UK) and economies as well.

Many players in UK fought and continue to fight each other in one of the most efficient gold making methods - IC. Without pressing matters/calling people out/risking a mute/ban, I think its good to realize that a large percent of players in any MMORPG don't pay cash so they try to resell/or buy with large stores of gold. Whether its IC, reselling, ts 73 spam, ice cube/flower spam, rep farming, etc. realize that your method of gold making impacts the game economy. If you only IC, chances are you're going to affect woa/fm/vbe prices, if its ts 73 - you're going to affect SOP prices. I am not saying one player can permanently change prices, however you can cause prices to change for a small period of time. For example, I bought VBEs from a player that mainly did IC for 2 years and had 300m worth of VBE @ 2k a piece prior to sp8 release, and pushed prices up to 6-8k a piece after the release due to the amount of pots consumed in the raid.

"Fun-ness" - This is my opinion but I think the fun-ness of Nostale is primarily dependent on community for pve, and a less combative arena - pvp. For pvp and pve, we need to realize that players will abuse either area however they see fit to get an advantage
In pve I would say is similar to sp raid rational (see above)
In arena, cheaping/arena toxicity has existed since the formation of the game - it used to be 7k charges in sin pre-patch, now it means any sp with triple+buffs+hide. UK has plenty of experiences with this, not sure about US - but realize that this is a player responsibility as GMs have mentioned that they will not committing resources into solving the arena cheaping/alt buffing issue.

To US players: if you read this whole post and think or feel the intention of this post is to lecture or talk down to you that is not the case. I wrote this post to share my experiences in UK and how I think those experiences will be seen the US server since a decent portion of players are UK based and will most likely play similar to how they did in UK server.

To UK players: A merge takes infrastructure+time so figure out something to do in your remaining free/hobby time. Playing a different game, continuing to make alts or HECK EVEN POSSIBLY GETTING TO KNOW AND CLEAR UP ISSUES WITH THE REMAINING UK PLAYERS (OMG OVERCOMING DRAMA?!), or cut down free time and focus more IRL? Carpe diem. Am I giving up on the UK server for now? Don't think so, I do what I did prior to the US server opening, which is sp raids, win IC, and fc raids if I'm in the mood -albeit each to a lesser extent since player base is dying. As a last word of encouragement, realize in the 10 years of nos, that GMs have announced ~ 80% of game patches/updates two weeks before it happens, so I'm hopeful that whenever the announcement of a merge comes, that means it'll happen in two weeks ; ]

Just wanted to say, while usually someone making gold will affect the economy in some way, there are some exceptions. For instance, I've alternated between TS73 spamming and TS81 spamming(instead if buying SoP) while not buying anything from other players(needed gold for NPCs). Typically speaking though, yeah you are going to affect prices.

As for not knowing how a merge will affect US prices as the future isn't written in stone, while it is true we can't know how badly it will affect the US economy we CAN assume prices will go up as there is so much gold accumulated across UK accounts prices will naturally rise. How much it goes up is the only thing that is really in question.
    • First as I know,
Only Cylloan Nostale server is registered under Steam.
So Nostale UK is not under steam contract. If u want to merge both server, u need to consider, russian, germany, etc server hosted by GF as well.
And if merge is going to be happend, UK needed to be registered under steam, and a lot of procedure is needed.

So I can see that, the merge is not likely going to happen. Sad thing. But that's going to happen. It will soon be an abandoned server.

    • ^^ Tbh I have spent at least $5,000 on UK; playing over 8 years and I moved server despite spending money and being level 96+22 so idk why you're all making a big deal over it and I find it ironic that even I changed server as I was one of the people that was the most "PvP" active and "toxic" by hunting people.

You do realise both UK and US can be played from gameforge... there's no ''steam contract'' just for US lmao. Wyd boi~
Yes Can be played from Gameforge. Install steam and u see which Nostale u have? Only US. Accept it. Read what i wrote, I said Gameforge make Cylloan and register that with Steam. The contract is there for sure, else u thought any game can just go into steam and let everyone to play? If they want to merge, means, they need approval from steam as well. And FYI Gameforge managed russia server, germany etc. If merging, why only Cylloan and UK not cylloan and others? This is going to be a messy process so no one would be doing it. They will jsut let Cylloan to grow and Citidel to die.

Wait what? I'm slightly confused with this comment.

I'm pretty sure you can access UK nos with steam as well. And the same company is working with both servers. I thought the US server was created due to Steam being mostly US-oriented, or Steam having a office in the US.

"Registering" does mean a contract, but I'm pretty sure UK and US are illustrated as "Steam Nos."

However, I don't question that there are some political issues which could make the merge difficult to happen as well.
    • lel i may act harsh if you guys really want to seperate from uk?to be honest the moment you created this acc in forum you have enter this website the nostale.co.uk see uk if you would try with .us and you can see the answer all lel so if you really want keep talking here about steam and stuff go to steam and comment there...we are trying to do something with our uk inactive server man...if you guys really dont want merge go steam and comment there which i dont think the developer will read them?if you really see those comments i've post the steam link in 1 of the forum u can see what old players have to said not only uk serv players
tbh XD ya 5000 is big money...lel but have you considered ppl invest more?like rs serv/global serv/other serv and invest here and there in the end what is goin on with their server?ya i know you guys gonna said get a life if you cant get over 1 shutting down server...yep who is easy to move on in the world especially in this kind of situation...the reason why people dont want migrate:
why change new serv when you have a high lvl on this serv?,2ndly ya people have real life things to do /work so you know how often they can online and play this game?thats the most reason ppl cant get over it..

    • Us is the same as UK if the players who moved because they felt underpowered compared to higher lvls spent the same time re grinding back their lvls on a different server they would be on par with stronger players on UK doesn't make any sense to play the game twice to me.

yes there is a contract but its for hosting the game not one server of the game. clearly missing how steam and mmos work o.o not sure if your ignorance can be forgiven =)
    • Interesting thread. You're right, there is no life on UK right now, but I think US is so attractive because everyone had to start from level 1 again which brought back the fun & magic of the game.
I've been playing on UK since 2008, had like 3-4 characters, but on my main, I got level 90 reached by 2010-11. I threw so much time & energy and less money into game (went to school, so didn't have my own salary) so I was strong & feared in FC, but I had no fun anymore. Then FC also died like other parts of game, and I had no reason to stay anymore.
Oh, and when I went to FC on my level 80 (so not even lv. 10-15) character, I've got 1 hitted. It was sad remembering how fun FC was when it was added to the game and even level 65 could have its fun there. :)
I agree with you, as an old player, I understand that nobody wants to get wasted & character deleted just 'cause server is dead. But I think that when too many people are high level and has OP SP & shells it's not really fun anymore. :(
